The Vöcklabrucker Ilse Kalleitner has made remarkable progress with her Guardian Hand project in the past ten years in the Philippines. The initiative is now celebrating the tenth anniversary of the support of needy children, who live primarily in the Slum of Manila. The commitment goes beyond school lessons. A school bus makes it easier for children to access education and a day center supports the families. In order to be able to work sustainably, further investments are necessary: ​​the construction of an additional floor, a solar system as well as an IceCube shop and a small bakery are planned. In the meantime, the Ilse Löwenstein School in Hamburg carried out an apprenticeship for junior paramedics on December 15 and 16, 2022. The eleven pupils from the 5-7 vintages were trained by the ASB Nordost and are now ready to intervene in an emergency.
