Horrorhaus: Dream vacation becomes a nightmare for British family!
Nordirland, Vereinigtes Königreich - A British family experienced an unimaginable nightmare on vacation when they found a true horror house instead of a fantastic holiday home in Northern Ireland. Via the "VRBO" platform, they had booked a house with five bedrooms for 300 pounds (360 euros) per night, but when they arrive there was a picture of horror: blood-smeared furniture and sex toys adorned the premises. The shock moment came when her five -year -old son discovered unsecured medication and other unsavory finds in a bedside table, as the father announced in a conversation with the Guardian. In the kitchen, the parents also came across an open bottle of nicotine fluid and found all sorts of unpleasant objects in the furniture.
The family immediately complained to "VRBO" and sent photos of the catastrophic conditions. However, the platform replied that the health risks were "minor" and that reimbursement would not be considered. The owner of the house justified himself that he had no time for cleaning due to the incident with the police where his dog was shot. A hotel stay offered for the family as an emergency solution was rejected, and instead they paid £ 2000 (2400 euros) for an alternative accommodation at another provider. A refund for the original booking has now been granted, while the horror house is still listed on "VRBO", as OE24 reported.
innovative tree house as a solution for housing costs
In another interesting report, the creative solution of a father shows that for his then 13-year-old daughter Elsie built a tree house that, today, six years later, serves as a cheap accommodation. Ben, a 54-year-old father from Guildford, invested 8,000 pounds (9500 euros) in the construction of the two floors comprising a wooden house in their own garden. Due to increasing living costs and the difficulty of finding an affordable apartment, 20-year-old Elsie decided to move into the tree house, as FOCUS reported online. The house, which was originally intended as a play house, is now estimated to be a value of 50,000 pounds (59,000 euros) and in 2017 even won the Cuprinol’s Shed of the Year Award.
These two stories reflect the challenges and also the unconventional solutions that families are confronted with - from nightmare to creative living solutions in the form of a tree house.
