Hessen helps: Millions for municipalities against aircraft noise in the Rhine-Main area!
Darmstadt-Dieburg, Deutschland - Hessen provides massive 4.1 million euros for municipalities who suffer from the constant noise of Frankfurt Airport! This financial support, which is regulated by the Regional Labor Conference Act, aims to alleviate the negative effects of air traffic on the quality of life. State Secretary Ines Fröhlich (SPD) recently brought the funding notices to affected cities such as Bischofsheim, Groß-Gerau, Nauheim and Flörsheim. This year Nauheim will benefit the most and receives the highest attention with almost 1.5 million euros.
The money not only benefits these cities. In Bischofsheim, for example, 359,000 euros are invested in construction work for daycare centers and the citizens' school, while Büttelborn will use 508,500 euros for additional specialists in day care centers. Flörsheim, which is particularly affected by the noise loads, is planning the renovation of the old gold born school and safety improvements in a daycare center with 282,000 euros, such as the op-online reported. Hochheim plans to build a new youth center and invest over 271,000 euros in mobile youth work.
why this compensation is so important
Aircraft noise not only has acoustic, but also social consequences for the residents. In Raunheim, 469,000 euros flow into language support and integration projects, while Weiterstadt wants to tackle the design of the Steinrodsee recreation area with 140,000 euros. These government grants massively support the municipalities to improve their infrastructure and to expand educational offers, despite the stressful noises of flirtating aircraft. Details of these means and recipients can also be found in a report on ffh .
