Young generation: Financial knowledge often falls by the wayside!
More and more young people in Germany are confident when it comes to their financial transactions - and that, even though they only feel sparingly prepared. A current survey by Forsa for Visa and Ing Germany shows that only 52 percent of 18- to 30-year-olds classify themselves as financially knowing. This gap in knowledge is alarming, because 91 percent of those surveyed consider financial education to be essential. But only 6 percent state that you have learned enough about finance at school, such as reported.

The so-called finfluencers and financial blogs are becoming increasingly important in Generation Z. 23 percent of young adults surveyed use such digital offers to close their gaps in knowledge. Banks are also popular with 18 percent. Artificial intelligence has so far been used by only 7 percent as a learning aid. These tendencies show that young adults are increasingly relying on digital media in order to achieve financial competence, which shows the need for a serious discussion with the topic of money, such as Tagesspiegel determined.
