New lift offer at Rangger Köpfl: Combined lift takes off!
The Tyrolean ski area Rangger Köpfl has taken a significant step for the 2024/25 winter season with the opening of a new combination lift that combines an 8-seater gondola lift and a 6-seater chairlift. This modern facility is designed at 1,300 meters and replaces the old, 53-year-old drag lift, which in the past took numerous visitors to the heights of the Tyrolean Alps. Loud ORF Tyrol The new system was realized with an investment of 8.2 million euros and only requires half a year of construction. The financing consisted of Bergbahnen Oberperfuss' own funds, grants from the municipality and Innsbruck Tourism as well as a bank loan.
The managing director of Bergbahnen Oberperfuss, Manuel Hujara, described the construction of the combined lift as an important milestone for the future of the ski area. "If I don't want to take off my skis, I take the chair lift. Guests with toboggans or children might prefer to take the gondola. We wanted the best of the best here so that we are prepared for the future," explains Hujara, referring to the wide range of options for guests. The new railway is intended to ensure smoother operations in both summer and winter and increase the attractiveness of the area. Thanks to the expansion, the toboggan run will now be over 10 kilometers long, as will the ISR reported. The pride of those responsible for the new facilities is unmistakable - these are intended to ensure the viability of the mountain railways for the coming decades.
Despite the high investment costs, the Oberperfuss mountain railways are optimistic about the future and have slightly increased the lift prices, but remain among the cheapest offers in Tyrol. Hujara emphasizes that the new offerings of the combination of toboggan run, natural snow cross-country ski run and winter hiking trails are attractive for all age groups and that the region is therefore better protected in both winter and summer. These developments are not only crucial for the economic structure of the area, but also make an important contribution to promoting winter tourism in Tyrol.
