Friedrich triumphed: Third victory in the two -way bob and new rail record!
Francesco Friedrich won his third season in the fourth race of the World Bob World Cup. The two-time double Olympic champion, who was on the train in Winterberg with his supervision Alexander Schüller, showed an impressive performance and asserted himself with a lead of 0.21 seconds before the second-placed Adam Ammour from BRC Thuringia.
The German team celebrated a remarkable triple success: According to Friedrich, Johannes Lochner and his spider Joshua bag ended up in third place. In the first run, Friedrich also set up a new rail record, which he improved to 54.05 seconds.
Adam Ammours Return
Adam Ammour, who came back with the four -man bob after a severe fall in training, showed a strong performance with his spider Benedikt Hertel. After the demolition of the two-man bobsleigh cup in Sigulda, which Ammour had to end due to three falls, his return was all the more impressive. In the second round, Ammour was faster than Friedrich.
These services illustrate the strong competition in the German BOB team and the impressive skills of the athletes in this demanding sport.
