Termination of a warehouse worker: Court speaks 9,800 euros!
Linz-Land, Österreich - A warehouse worker from the Linz-Land district has achieved a remarkable court ruling: after his termination, he receives 9,800 euros. The termination took place after the employee loudly complained about the instruction of his boss to stay longer, even though he had a personal appointment. Despite its annoyance, the Chamber of Labor (AK) Upper Austria saw no reasons for the termination. The Upper Austrian was employed for more than two years and vehemently denied being palpable. The Labor and Social Court finally confirmed the perspective of the Chamber of Labor that there was no legal reason for termination, such as 5min.at reported.
Litigation and financial claims
The Chamber of Labor was committed to the warehouse worker and, in addition to the termination compensation, also called for special payments, holiday replacement services and the wages for unpaid overtime. The court decision could influence the work environment for many employees because it shows that labor law is important and one can defend themselves against unjustified dismissals. The case was also made public by the AK, which again underlines the importance of a strong backbone in the world of work, as can be seen Chamber of Labor
