World Women's Day 2025: Fight for equality and against wage discrimination
Next Friday, March 7, 2025, a press conference will take place in Vienna on the occasion of World Women's Day, which is led by Caritas President Nora Tödtling-Musenbichler and AK President Renate Anderl. The conference will start at 10:00 a.m. in the AK media room at Plößlgasse 2, 6th floor. The topic of the event is the unbroken necessity for gender equality in Austria, since women continue to do more work, but are less paid-a explosive topic that is underlined by the high number of women who are looking for support in Caritas social counseling centers.
In the message, it is emphasized that nationwide childcare is still an unfulfilled request and that around 60 percent of those seeking help are women at Caritas. Both the Chamber of Labor and Caritas agree that this injustice must no longer be accepted. The commitment to better working conditions and social justice becomes clear on this day, and the press is cordially invited to take part in the event or to pursue it via Livestream, such as caritas-e.de A sign that impressively illustrates support for women in both Austria and Germany.
