SPÖ Vorarlberg with a fresh team of candidates: on the state election!

In an exciting policy day, the lists of candidates for the Vienna municipal council elections and the Vorarlberg state election were presented today. The SPÖ will be presented in the town hall by state party secretary Barbara Novak and Mayor Michael Ludwig at 1:30 p.m., while the ÖVP is preparing for its own list on February 21. The Greens and NEOs have decisive meetings to choose their candidates, such as Kleine Zeitung . Particular attention is paid to the FPÖ, whose top candidate Dominik Nepp was already nominated in January and which is currently confronted with a dramatic decline in surveys. The municipal council election 2020 brought a vote of 41.6 percent for the SPÖ, while the FPÖ totally crashed and only landed at 7 percent.

Vorarlberg: Young faces for the SPÖ

The SPÖ Vorarlberg recently presented its first seven candidates for the upcoming state election on October 13th. The list of Mario Leiter, who has already been introduced as a top candidate, is led. In Götzis, he emphasized the need to finally get to the government in order to implement important issues such as affordable living, health policy and security. There are many new faces of the first seven, with five of the candidates not having any previous state parliament experience. Manuela Auer and Reinhold Einwallner complete the top positions and each bring their experiences from the political work with Vol.at . This change of course towards fresh blood should help the SPÖ to pursue their goals more effectively.

The political preparations for Vienna and Vorarlberg are exciting and show a clear tendency towards new will and fresh ideas. It remains to be seen whether the SPÖ can build on previous successes in both regions, but the signs are on change and challenge for everyone involved in the political arena.
