The police commissioner Villach, as part of the Carinthia State Police Directorate, has steadily developed since its restructuring in 2012. In a detailed interview with the head, court councilor Mag.a Esther Krug, the challenges of the police, especially in times of corona pandemic, were discussed. Krug explained that everyday work has changed through more telephone calls and digital communication in order to keep distance. The central tasks of the police authority include not only the processing of driver's license and weapons law documents, but also the review and enforcement of entrance and rapprochement ban in the event of family violence. In all the challenges, the police chief notices a clear generation change and the growing technical development, which shapes her work, which she in a conversation with Villachimfokus explained.
