Government in focus: human rights as the key to the future!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - The mood in the new federal government is optimistic! On March 7, 2025, Nico Marchetti, MP and General Secretary of the People's Party, was enthusiastic about the motivation and willingness of the new minister. As Marchetti explained, each of them decided to go to politics to improve the country and not to insult each other. This is an important step to work together for the well -being of Austria. "Together we have to do the best for our country," emphasizes Marchetti and thus shows his confidence in good cooperation in the new government, which wants to devote itself to the solution to important challenges. He also attaches importance to cross-party thinking-red-white-red instead of partial interests.
human rights must remain in focus
While the new coalition takes up its work, expectations of their human rights policy are just as high. The Forum Human Rights on the same day has directed clear demands on the new coalition negotiators. In view of global crises and challenges, a human rights -centered politics is considered essential. The organization requires protection against discrimination, equality and active fight against poverty and social inequality. In particular, they emphasize that Germany must consistently implement its human rights obligations in their own country and also have to demand from other countries. These demands are intended to manage action in all policy areas and have the potential to significantly influence the direction of the new government.
