Burgenland, Österreich - The ÖVP Burgenland presented its demands for the upcoming state parliament session on Tuesday, which will take place on Thursday. State party leader Christian Sagartz emphasized that the actual political work is now beginning, after the constituent meeting and the government declaration of the SPÖ state captain Hans Peter Doskozil. Among the core concerns is the proposal for a "preventive thousand" that is intended to encourage Burgenlanders to use regular preventive examinations. Sagartz, who himself was cancer patient, announced a financial bonus of 1,000 euros in order to raise awareness of provision, as reported on OE24.at.
Another central concern is a promotion of 10,000 euros for young families to support the construction or purchase of property, which Sagartz describes as "quite granted freedom". The ÖVP also expressed concerns about the planned building land mobilization tax, which is to be inserted for the first time in summer. He pointed out that 10 million euros from the delivery have already been budgeted, which means the possibility of a retrospective payment for the past few years, which could put a lot of strain on many citizens.
Financial support for communities
The SPÖ, which has been ruling together with the Greens since February, demands additional financial resources from the federal government for the municipalities. As part of these claims, you would like to enforce a "recurring acute billion" and a reform of the financial equalization. This was also addressed in a press conference at ORF Burgenland. The upcoming political decisions are characterized by financial security for both the citizens and the municipalities, and the upcoming meetings will show how these concerns will be specified.
