ÖSV is rewarding the fire brigade with 1,000 tickets for exciting skiing event!
In a generous gesture of recognition for the heroic commitment of the Lower Austrian fire brigades During the flood disaster in September, the Austrian Ski Association (ÖSV) presented a total of 1,000 free tickets for the FIS ski World Cup races on the Magic Mountain Semmering. The handover took place on December 23, 2024, carried out by ÖSV Alpin boss Herbert Mandl and Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, directly on site in Semmering. Mandl emphasized the outstanding work of the fire brigade members in the difficult days of the floods and explained: "This invitation is a small sign of recognition for the great work and the commitment of our firefighters."
The World Cup races that take place on December 28th and 29th are an important event in the Austrian winter sports calendar. On the first day, the giant slalom is on the program, followed by a slalom on Sunday. Through the tickets there is a return to normality - and the firefighting comrades, which have worked tirelessly for the security of the general public, are given the opportunity to treat yourself to a well -deserved break. The support of the ÖSV underlines how important it is to appreciate the achievements of these brave men and women, as the news portal NÖN also reported.
State fire brigade commander Dietmar Fahrafellner also expressed his gratitude by saying that the invitation to the World Cup races was a sign that the efforts of the fire brigades were seen and valued. This special gesture once again shows the appreciation that is shown to the volunteers and their missions. The entire campaign reflects a deeply rooted gratitude and respect that deserves all those who willingly stand up for their common good in emergencies.
