Lower Austria creates the state security council: focus on security!

In Lower Austria, security is very important! The new state security council was announced at the government exam in Tulln, as the "Krone" reports. Under the chairmanship of Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, the committee will come together from various security authorities and state policy to discuss important security issues. With this new initiative, the state government wants to ensure that security interests are addressed extensively and efficiently, especially with regard to the threats from extremism and terrorism.

"The security of our compatriots has a top priority," emphasizes Mikl-Leitner and pursues a clear course to put extremists the craft. The new state security council, supported by various organizations, will be a crucial tool in the fight against Islamist extremism, said Landes Vice Udo Landbauer from the FPÖ. In addition, the action plan against radical Islam should consistently take measures to create a safe space for all citizens.

The security situation in Lower Austria remains tense. According to a report by noe.gv.at there was an increase in crime by about 4.9 percent compared to 2008. Nevertheless, governor Dr. Erwin Pröll optimistically, because new cross -border search options and the establishment of the "Soko Ost" want to ensure close cooperation between the security authorities. This initiative aims to increase the pressure pressure in particular in areas close to the border and to optimize criminal police work through increased cooperation.

With the Austrian Armed Forces in action, 750 soldiers have already been stationed in border areas, of which 200 are active in Lower Austria. The cooperation between the police and the military is considered crucial for improving the feeling of security among the population. The goal: a safe environment for all citizens in which security against crime and violence is guaranteed.
