RIED IM ZILLERTAL (TIROL): The energetic 122nd annual general meeting of the Ried im Zillertal Volunteer Fire Department took place on January 31, 2025. The past year was duly acknowledged under the chairmanship of Commander OBI Gregor Pircher, who welcomed numerous members and guests of honor. The fire department was able to look back on a year full of extraordinary commitment. A central event of the meeting was the surprising election of the commander and his deputy, who are intended to bring a breath of fresh air to the leadership. BI Christoph Höllwarth was elected as the new commander, while BM Christian Ortner will act as his deputy.
The farewell to OBI Gregor Pircher, who served the fire department tirelessly for over a decade, was particularly moving. His achievements were recognized with great applause both at the inauguration of the new 2024 tank fire engine and during the meeting. “A special thank you goes to the dedication and commitment he has shown over the years,” said those present. This positive atmosphere is evidence of the strong solidarity and motivation of the Ried im Zillertal volunteer fire department, which is now starting the new year full of enthusiasm.
