In the exciting final of the Hallen football school league, which took place on December 19, 2024, the Neusiedl high school met the favorite Theresianum Eisenstadt middle school. This tournament has been held as a futsal competition since 2013, whereby playing without gangs and handball doors are used. The game started with a lot of pressure from the Theresianum, but Philipp Stadler surprisingly scored the first goal for Neusiedl. Although the Theresianum equalized a little later, an unfortunate waste from goalkeeper Maximilian Zankowitsch shortly before the end ensured the decisive goal for 2-1 for Neusiedl, as reported.
After the game, the winning goal scorer Konjek was proud of his team and reflected: "We discussed the tactics exactly before the game and that was a success for us". The disappointment, on the other hand, was noticeable at goalkeeper Zankowitsch, which said: "We were the better team, but in the end it wasn't enough". With this victory, the Neusiedl grammar school secures a place at the Federal Championship in Tyrol next March - a valuable experience for the players, as well as coach Maximilian Wodicka.
