New wind in the ÖGK general meeting: Wucherer and Krenn take over!

At the Annual General Meeting of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK) there were significant personnel changes. The experienced chamber councilor Bettina Wucherer takes over the employee side and will form the chair of the general meeting together with Matthias Krenn, who takes over the management in the second half of the year. Wucherer was enthusiastic about the new task: "I look forward to working on the cooperation and to actively participate in important decisions for the insured persons of the ÖGK and to be active for the ÖGK." In his part, Krenn emphasized his joy about the new responsibility that will enable him to contribute to the further development of the health system.

Important tasks of the ÖGK general meeting

The ÖGK general meeting acts as a central body next to the board of directors and consists of a total of 42 representatives. These include 12 representatives of the employees and 12 of the employers, as well as representatives of the elderly and people with disabilities. The key tasks of the Annual General Meeting include the decision on the annual preliminary and annual report of the Board of Directors, adjustments to the statutes and the discharge of the board of directors. "With Bettina Wucherer and Matthias Krenn at the top, the general meeting continues their work and contributes to ensuring future -oriented health care in Austria," says the ÖGK.
