A new wind in the ÖGK general meeting: usurers and Krenn take over!

There were significant personnel changes at the general meeting of the Austrian Health Insurance Fund (ÖGK). The experienced chamber councilor Bettina Wucherer will take over the employee side and will chair the general meeting together with Matthias Krenn, who will take over management in the second half of the year. Wucherer expressed his enthusiasm about the new task: “I am looking forward to working together and to being actively involved in important decisions for ÖGK’s insured persons and to working for ÖGK.” For his part, Krenn emphasized his joy about the new responsibility, which will enable him to contribute to the further development of the health system.

Important tasks of the ÖGK general meeting

The ÖGK General Meeting acts as a central body alongside the Board of Directors and is made up of a total of 42 representatives. These include 12 representatives of the employees and 12 of the employers, as well as representatives of senior citizens and people with disabilities. The key tasks of the general meeting include passing resolutions on the annual budget and annual report of the board of directors, adjustments to the articles of association and the discharge of the board of directors. “With Bettina Wucherer and Matthias Krenn at the helm, the Annual General Meeting is continuing its work and contributing to ensuring future-oriented healthcare in Austria,” says the ÖGK.
