New women's price: Brigitte Bierlein recognizes young pioneers!
Laimgrubengasse 10, 1060 Wien, Österreich - On December 19, 2024, the Brigitte-Bierlein-Frauenpreis , a new prestigious recognition system of the Federal Ministry (Bmaw). This prize honors extraordinary women under the age of 35 who shape the economy and society of tomorrow through innovative approaches. Federal Minister Martin Kocher said at the opening event: "With this price we create a platform that encourages young women to go their way and promote equal opportunities." Accompanied by the patron Maria Rauch-Kallat, who plays an important role in the selection of talent, the focus is on the pioneers of the modern economy.
The price aims to make young innovators visible and appreciate their achievements. "We want to create a culture in which women are encouraged to pursue their visions," said Bmaw General Secretary Eva Landrichtinger. Applications can be submitted from now on, with a deadline until the end of April 2025. The submitted proposals are created by a shortlist of the 35 best candidates, which is rated by a jury. The initiative is supported by important projects such as the Female Network, which serves to network and promote women in business.
