New sewage tank in Albessen: Smell emissions finally stopped!

In the small community of Albessen near Kusel, a permanent odor problem in connection with wastewater disposal was successfully remedied. The installation of a pumping station that leads the waste water according to Konken had caused major complaints among residents. Especially in the Hohlstraße there were real “odor attacks”, which significantly impaired the quality of life of the citizens, such as the Rheinpfalz reported.

To improve the situation, the pump frequency was increased and a storage tank for odor binder was installed. This tank, which only holds 1000 liters, has to be refilled weekly. The local mayor Joachim Deckbar now announced that a larger tank was planned to minimize the effort for the refill. The municipal council has already agreed to the proposal. This could be a relief for the residents who have suffered from the smells. The expenses for the new tank installation are taken over by the community.
