New donations for the Wahrenholz primary school: music and movement for everyone!

The Wahrenholz primary school recently received several valuable donations from various supportive institutions. Among the sponsors are the Volksbank Südheide-Isenhagener Land-Altmark and the children's support association "Sterntaler". Volksbank provided a two -part music system worth 1559 euros. This music system will be used at school events as well as music and sports lessons in the future. Elementary school teachers are positive about the relief that the new system brings in their daily work with the students.

In addition, the support association and the Volksbank donated two cupboards for musical instruments worth around 2800 euros. These cupboards now offer a fixed place for the music utensils, since a separate music room is no longer available at the school. In addition, ten new balls worth 163 euros were donated to the breaks at the beginning of the school year. Rector Andreas Lang was grateful for these valuable contributions.

support association "Sterntaler" and its commitment

The children's support association "Sterntaler for our Wahrenholzer Jugend e.V." has set itself the goal of improving the learning environment at primary school Wahrenholz. Founded in 2010, the association was awarded the volunteer award in 2017 and has since implemented many projects and funding measures. The most important activities of the association include the equipment of the school with a loudspeaker system and the establishment of a PC room that has been continuously modernized and expanded since its foundation.

The commitment of the support association also includes the annual provision of a healthy breakfast for all students, support at various school events and the organization of homework aids for third and fourth graders. Current projects include the planned purchase of music cabinets, a music system and a new microphone that are still planned for 2024. A monthly membership fee of only 2 euros enables the continuous use of the association, which would like to continue to enrich the school life of children in Wahrenholz.
