The ASKÖ Fairdrive Leonding was founded in 1977 and has been an independent judo club since 2019. The intensive work with the young athletes paid off this year: The Leofighers crowned themselves as U16 mixed team champions and won a total of 18 medals at the ASKÖ federal championships, including nine gold medals. The successes of Magdalena Mayrhofer, who won the Austrian U-23 championship title in the weight class up to 63 kg, as well as the U-16 championship titles by Marie Spielbüchler (-52 kg) and Selina Wögerer (-70 kg) should also be emphasized. "The award is a nice recognition for the intensive work that we have done in recent years. In 2025, this key should continue," say the two coaches Stump confidently. The ASKÖ FairDrive Leonding has thus established itself as a leading force in the Austrian judo sport and shows how promising the future is for the next generations of judokas.
