Fighting of the diseases: Charité starts Global Health Initiative!

He praises their commitment in a challenging year in which the healthcare system is faced with significant changes. In particular, the hospital reform and the tense financial situation in Berlin affect the work on the Charité. Despite the uncertainties that many industries experience, Kroemer sees the Charité well positioned and assures that the requirements for jobs will continue to exist in the future. Another important step in the field of global health is the appointment of Prof. Dr. Beate Kampmann as head of the Institute for International Health at the Charité. From January 1, 2023, she will be with Prof. Dr. Christian Drosten lead the new Charité Centrum Global Health (CCGH). Kampmann, an internationally recognized expert in international children's health, returns from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine to Germany to reorganize the institute and strengthen the networking of global health initiatives.
