Warm fundraising campaign for families in need in Spittal!
HOSPITAL. President Bettina Zippusch and her committed club colleagues from the Ladies Circle Spittal support the Team Austria Tafel with great warmth. On December 11th, hygiene products were purchased and ceremoniously handed over to the person responsible for the food bank, Sabine Ortner. This fundraiser aims to support the Red Cross and Ö3 food aid, which provides much-needed help to people in need. According to district office manager Dylan Morley and district manager Iris Köstenbauer, this valuable donation is an expression of the “love for people,” which is needed more than ever these days.
Team Austria Tafel has set itself the task of combating food waste and at the same time supporting people in difficult life situations. In Austria, hectares of tons of food end up in the trash every year, while more than a million people are affected by poverty. This makes the work of the food bank even more important, as this is the only way they can ensure that what is often thrown away unnecessarily gets to those who need it most, such as bafep-ktn.at. This initiative exemplifies the commitment of the community, which is committed to helping the weaker people in society.
Insights into BAFEP Carinthia
In parallel to these social efforts, BAFEP Carinthia will open its doors to all future students and their parents on January 10, 2025. This school stands for practical and well-founded training in the field of education and wants to show those interested a variety of opportunities that training with them offers. As the example of the Team Austria Tafel shows, education is the key to counteracting poverty and supporting many people who have to live in difficult circumstances in the future.
The connection between education and social responsibility is promoted in Spittal with joint forces, where both the Ladies Circle Spittal and BAFEP Carinthia contribute to a better understanding and awareness of social challenges.
