A heroic commitment of the fire brigades in Villach saved a life: On Saturday at 2:30 p.m., an alarming smoke was reported in the roof of a multi -party house in the city center. The main fire station Villach and the Vassach volunteer fire brigade moved out with a total of seven vehicles and around 35 emergency services. The emergency call indicated an acute danger: one person could be caught in the smoky apartment, reported the crown.
Rescue at the last minute
During their arrival, the firefighters heard the alarm of a smoke detector from the affected apartment on the fifth floor. Despite repeated knocking, nobody reacted, which aroused considerable concerns. To get access, the emergency services used a hydraulic door opener and searched the one -room apartment. Here they discovered the frightened dog called "Brasil", which was immediately saved from the smoke. With oxygen mask and a lot of care, the emergency services provided the animal in the stairwell and finally brought it to a veterinarian, like that ORF reported.
The cause of the dramatic situation was an overheated saucepan on the stove, which led to heavy smoke. Thanks to the use of high -performance fans, the apartment was quickly freed from the smoke. The presence of intellectual power and their quick action prevented worse and once more showed how important the work of the fire brigade is.
