Healing sounds: crossover concert for cancer and pain patients in Toblach
A special concert project under the title "Zeit: Punkt" will take place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. in the Gustav Mahler Hall of the Cultural Center toblach. The concert, organized by Kulturzentrum Toblach in cooperation with the Südtiroler Krebshilfe , combines the work of the chamber orchestra Stringart with texts that were written in the therapeutic writing workshop "Crazy cells".
The writing workshop, which has been under the direction of Michaela Falkensteiner and Anton Huber since 2006, is aimed at cancer and pain patients: inside. It offers you a room to transform your thoughts and feelings into creative writing processes. As part of the concert, the moving texts of the participants are set to music musically by Erich Feichter on the inside. A mixture of classic and contemporary music, pop elements as well as Nordic sounds and minimal music is presented.
artistic implementation and occupation
The musical performance is realized by the occupation of vocalolist Marion Feichter, the striker Patrick Künig and the string orchestra led by Erich Feichter. The texts that reflect fears, hopes and reflections about life are accompanied, interpreted as songs or guessed out of musical ideas. This shows the variety of crossover project, which is designed as an innovative connection between music and therapeutic writing.
In addition to the music, pictures of the painting group "Butterflies" are projected, which is led by Ruth Oberschmied and Franz Josef Hofer. This painting group uses colors for the processing of emotions and to visualize the unspeakable, which makes the concert a holistic experience.
The healing power of art
The project "Time: Point" illustrates the importance of creative therapies in dealing with emotional and physical challenges. Art therapy that has developed from various disciplines is a method that uses creative expression to relieve psychological discomfort and promote self -awareness. It enables non -verbal forms of expression, which are of great importance, especially in difficult situations, if words are often not sufficient to communicate deep feelings. Studies document the effectiveness of art therapeutic approaches in the treatment of depression, anxiety and chronic diseases.
Overall, the concert aims to make the emotional experience experienced by music and to offer third parties a feeling of community and exchange. The crossover project is a valuable step to raise awareness of the challenges of cancer and pain patients: to sharpen inside and shows how art can be integrated into therapy processes.
