Google brings exciting Android updates: sharing, emojis and more!

Berlin – Google surprises the Android world with exciting new features! The latest updates for Android smartphones are here and bring a breath of fresh air to their use. Particularly exciting: Quick Share is now child’s play! Users can share images, videos and documents quickly via QR codes without having to worry about complicated contact management. Simply scan the QR code and get started!

But that's not all! With the Gboard keyboard, users can now spice up their messages with self-created emoji combinations. And for everyone who uses Google Drive, there's great news: photo scans of receipts or documents are automatically optimized! Google promises that contrast and white balance will be improved, while shadows and blurring will be a thing of the past.

Pixel smartphones in an upgrade frenzy

Another highlight is the brand new “Simple View” function, which is exclusively available for Pixel smartphones from model 6 onwards. This feature provides a user-friendly interface with additional navigation buttons and allows users to adjust font and icon sizes as well as touchscreen sensitivity. This makes operating the phone child's play!

And now comes the big hit: Google is extending the upgrade periods for Pixel smartphones! From now on, the models 6 and 7 as well as the Pixel Fold (1st generation) will receive the latest Android updates for five years. This means Pixel 6 users can enjoy not only Android 15, but also the upcoming versions 16 and 17. The updates will be available on devices in the next few days or weeks, and users can check for them manually in Settings. A true blessing for all Android fans!
