New medical care center opened: Pforzheim sets standards!

Pforzheim put a new medical care center (MVZ) into operation, which was recently officially opened on January 7 by Mayor Peter Boch. The MVZ is located in the practice of the child and adolescent doctor Dr. Bernhard Fehling and Dr. Monika Riexinger.

The city of Pforzheim plans to continuously expand the MVZ and to move to a larger location in the city center in order to gain additional forces in the pediatric area. In addition, the expansion by a general medical area is planned as soon as the MVZ is established. Pforzheim is one of the first municipalities in Baden-Württemberg to create a municipal MVZ.

dr. Harald Janus was won as managing director of the municipal health center Pforzheim MVZ GmbH. When the MVZ was founded, the team received support from the employees of the Pforzheim-Enzkreis Health Office. The MVZ offers doctors the opportunity to work in an employee relationship and part -time. This should help the flexible working time models to better reconcile family and work.

A central goal of the MVZ is to relieve employed doctors from bureaucratic tasks so that they have more time for patient care. The facility is intended to improve medical care in Pforzheim and expand existing services without competing with other providers.
