Scrap box on adventure tour: Westfelder at Carbage Run 2025!

From 12 to January 17, 2025, the Carbage Run 2025 takes place, an extraordinary motorsport event that leads participants over a distance of more than 3,000 kilometers through Scandinavia. The starting point is Helsingborg in Sweden, the goal is in Rovaniemi, the northern Arctic Circle before going back to Helsinki. The event is now a cross -border event that was launched in the Netherlands in 2009.

The conditions of participation are usually quite unconventional: the car must not cost more than 1,000 euros and should be at least 20 years old. Several teams from Westfeld are also represented this year, including the defending champion of the previous year. You drive with a Mazda MPV from 1997, which already has 300,000 kilometers on your hump. The participants have to prepare for difficult weather conditions, including ice and snow at temperatures of up to minus 20 degrees.

tasks and challenges

During the event, the teams not only have to master the long route, but also master numerous challenges and tasks that also spice up the adventure. Participants can support each other in breakdowns and use a WhatsApp group to exchange spare parts. The event comprises a total of six stages.

The participants of the Westfeld team are: Dennis Rickert, Felix König, Philipp König, Lukas Döpp and Lukas Linke, Marvin Falke, Paul Gödecke, Fabian Wüllner and Leonhard and Hannes Voss, Basti Göddecke and Sascha Schütte. The carbage run, which derives its name from a combination of "car" and "garbage", focuses on fun and adventure instead of speed. The teams are challenged with crazy tasks that they can bring in bizarre situations while visiting unknown places and getting to know unforgettable people.
