Revolution of warehouse automation: Exotec presents innovative Skypod generation!
Exototec presented the latest generation of its groundbreaking Skypod system in Paris today, which is intended to revolutionize automation in warehouse logistics. With more power, higher storage density and extended software modules, the system meets the increasing requirements in modern logistics. The new Skypod robots are not only more compact, but also able to efficiently master pallet communication (Each and case picking). This allows EXOTEC to operate the multichannel needs of its customers with a single, state-of-the-art solution, such as exotec.com
performance increase and application efficiency
Innovative technology increases throughput by a remarkable 50 percent and enables a storage density of up to 30 percent compared to previous versions. The newly developed Exchanger for incoming goods and outputs significantly improves the efficiency of the processes because it reduces the need for external devices and complex subsystems. This has drastically shortened the delivery time at E. Leclerc: the processing in the drive-in was reduced from 10-15 minutes to less than 5 minutes, Maxence Maurice, CEO from E. Leclerc. Exotecs CEO Romain Moulin emphasizes that the system is not only operational excellent, but also offers an elegant solution for the challenges of the coming years.
The Skypod system is not only technologically progressive, but also quickly installed. Customers such as Gedois and Ariat experienced remarkable efficiency in implementation: In just 7 months, Gedois was equipped with 39 robots, 4 stations and a storage capacity of over 29,440 positions. Ariat only needed 11 months to install 86 robots and 71,785 storage spaces. These impressive projects demonstrate the ability of EXOTEC to guarantee minimal operational interruptions and at the same time enable a quick switch to progressive warehouse automation.
