Itzehoe celebrates: Youth Red Cross group surprisingly becomes German champion!
A triumphant moment for the Itzehoe Youth Red Cross! The group took first place at the German Red Cross national competition in Bretten and is therefore German champion. A truly spectacular competition in which teams from all over Germany competed against each other! The focus was on impressive first aid skills, such as stopping bleeding wounds and caring for the unconscious, often under pressure in the inner city. The district manager of the DRK Steinburg, Jordis Jochimsen, emphasizes: "It has been a long tradition for us to take part in the district competitions. This is a nice task to demonstrate the skills you have learned!"
Cars broken into at night
In the tranquil town of Heide (Dithmarschen district), perpetrators committed gruesome car break-ins at night! Five vehicles were broken into on the night of Monday to Tuesday, with uninvited guests causing mischief on Gleiwitzer, Königsberger and Rüsdorfer Strasse. Initial reports indicate that some stolen items have been recovered by police, but the perpetrators are yet to be caught. Missing furniture and the dubious dealings now raise questions - who saw anything? The Heide police are calling for help and are looking for brave witnesses!
