SG Eppenbrunn won the indoor tournament of the Pirmasens-Land municipality in an impressive manner. How rheinpfalz.de reported, the favored team beat SV Hochstellerhof 3-1 in the final and thus successfully defended their title.
As part of the 23rd indoor football tournament, which took place in the sports hall of the Dahn school center and was attended by over 350 spectators, SG Eppenbrunn showed a convincing performance. With this tournament victory, SG Eppenbrunn celebrated its tenth title.
Course of the tournament
In the semi-finals, SG Eppenbrunn won 3-1 against SV Obersimten, while SV Hochstellerhof also triumphed 3-1 against Hilster SV. In the group phase, SG Eppenbrunn led Group 1 with an outstanding goal difference of 23:3 and 12 points. SV Hochstellerhof dominated Group 2 with 17:3 goals and also 12 points.
The final game was exciting: After just 42 seconds, Andrei-Catalin Roman put SG Eppenbrunn in the lead. Yannick Drews equalized for SV Hochstellerhof in the 7th minute before Luca Mangold scored again for Eppenbrunn. Shortly before the end, Roman crowned the game with his second goal. In the “small final” SV Obersimten secured third place after winning against Hilster SV 3-2 after being in the lead twice.
Individual awards and organizers
Special awards were also presented: Daniel Danner from SV Hochstellerhof was named best goalkeeper, while Maximilian Mayer from Hilster SV emerged as top scorer with 11 goals. The fairness cup went to FC Ruppertsweiler.
