Wien-Floridsdorf, Österreich - in Vienna there was a dramatic incident on Tuesday evening when two young men fought a dangerous chase with the police. An 18-year-old noticed at 8:30 p.m. in Illgasse due to excessive speed. Despite the stopping marks, he fled his car and endangered a police officer who could only avoid injuries by jumping to the side. The driver ruthlessly overtaken other vehicles and disregarded several red traffic lights. Finally he stopped at an intersection, jumped out of the car and continued his escape on foot. The 19-year-old passenger took over the wheel and drove on wildly, roaming a policewoman on her leg. Shortly afterwards there was a collision with a patrol car on Seyringer Straße.

The 19-year-old tried to flee, but fell and was arrested by the officials. During his arrest, he defended himself violently and injured two police officers. The police were able to find and arrest the 18-year-old shortly after the escape at his residential address. Both men are now in custody - they have to answer for resistance to state power and serious bodily harm.
