Poisoned restaurant visit
In addition to the attack, there was a tragic incident at a restaurant on Sunday night where a 52-year-old man died after drinking a drink that was possibly poisoned. A group of guests, aged between 33 and 52, shared a bottle and after a short time showed severe symptoms of poisoning. While everyone affected was taken to hospital, the 52-year-old could not be saved and died that night. Police have launched a manslaughter investigation amid suspicions that the drink, possibly champagne, was contaminated, reported Merkur.de.
The special “Market” commission has begun an investigation to clarify how this devastating incident could have occurred. So far there are no suspicions against any specific people and police are appealing for witnesses who saw anything to come forward. The circumstances of both incidents are still unclear, which further fuels the investigation.
