Police are desperately searching for missing 78-year-old from Bad Ems!

The police are urgently looking for a 78-year-old man from Bad Ems who has been missing since Saturday, January 7th. Hans-Günter Rubner wanted to drive to the hospital in his car, but did not achieve this goal. According to his partner, the missing man suffers from dementia and usually only travels when accompanied.

The man left his place of residence at around 2 p.m. on Saturday. It was feared that he was moving around aimlessly in his gray Ford Fiesta (built in 2005, registration number EMS-IG 546). The police do not yet know any contact addresses.

Description and notes

Hans-Günter Rubner is around 1.70 meters tall and weighs around 67 kilograms. He also regularly carries a handbag with him. The police are asking the public for information about the whereabouts of the missing man. These can be addressed to the police station in Montabaur on 02602-92260 or to any other police station.

As already stated in a report by SWR mentioned, the man disappeared on Tuesday afternoon when he was also on the way to the hospital. Dealing with people with dementia attentively is of great importance in such situations, as there is a risk that they will not be able to orientate themselves.
