New search for Madeleine McCann: Hope for crucial information!

On June 2, 2025, a new search began in Portugal in the case of Madeleine McCann, who has been missing since 2007. This initiative measure was initiated by Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA) and receives support from the Portuguese police. The focus of the search is in an area between the Ocean Club in Praia da Luz, where Maddie was last seen, and a finca in which Christian B. lived at the time of the crime. This comprehensive search is the first major measure since May 2023, when in vain was searched for information in a reservoir on the Algarve.

Christian B. is considered a suspected perpetrator, is a predefined sexual offender and is currently in custody because of other sexual offenses. In October 2024, however, he was acquitted in another procedure. So far, no murder can be raised against him. In the current search campaign, the investigators hope to find crucial information before Brückner's end of the seam to find the case.
