The police were forced to use pepper spray to control the situation. A total of four people were slightly injured, including a 17-year-old Filipino and three Chinese nationals aged 22, 38 and 40. On the same morning, a 44-year-old Polish truck driver was stopped by the police because he was driving in a serpentine line. He was apparently under the influence of drugs and had a small amount of white powder on him. His driving license was temporarily revoked and the police prohibited him from continuing to drive.
These incidents highlight the increasing problems with violence and alcohol consumption in the region, which are becoming a high risk not only for those involved but also for the police.
