Illegal car racing on A6: Police are looking for witnesses for driving flights!
late Saturday evening, January 12, 2025, a traffic accident occurred on the A6 between St. Ingbert-West and Güdingen, which was caused by an illegal car race between a neon-colored Toyota sports car and a black BMW 3 Series (SB license plate). According to eyewitnesses, speeds of up to 170 km/h were reached, while the vehicles drove towards Saarbrücken.
A 20-year-old driver from Mauschbach reported that his white Citroën C1 (PS license plate) in the construction site area of the Grumbachtalbrücke was touched on the right of the BMW, which led to property damage in the four-digit area on his vehicle. After the incident, the two sports cars continued their journey, while traces on the guardrail of the bridge indicate that one of the vehicles may have touched them.
police are looking for witnesses
The St. Ingbert police have so far been able to gain no further knowledge of the incident and urgently seeks witnesses who have information about the accident, the driving style of the sports cars or other threats. Information can be given to the police on the phone number (0 68 94) 1090. Despite a search for the vehicles, there has been no success so far, such as n-tv reported.
The situation was further illustrated by the traces found on the Grumbachtal Bridge. Witnesses such as the 20-year-old have contributed to the clarification of the incident, but the exact course of the race and the identity of the driver has so far remained unclear.
The incident raises questions about security on the highway and the behavior of drivers who ruthlessly act in road traffic, with property damage to a considerable extent, as well as Saarbrücker Zeitung reported.
