in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, a violent day shook the region: On Saturday 17 people were murdered in several multiple murders. The fatal incidents occurred in colonial city of San Miguel Allende during a funeral where three men were shot. The violence in various locations in Guanajuato, including Irapuato and Juventino Rosas, took on other cruel forms. According to reports from the public prosecutor, five people were also injured. The state is known for its bloody conflict between rival drug cartels, whereby almost 3,000 murders have been registered since the beginning of the year, such as Volksblatt reported.
