ATM blast in Graz -ggenberg: Perpetrators flee with prey!

In the night of March 6, 2025, there was a violent incident in the Eggenberg district of Graz: unknown perpetrators blew up a ATM of a local bank branch and then fled with an unknown destination. The police were alerted shortly after 3:00 a.m. and set immediate investigations. According to initial information, the property damage is significant, but whether the perpetrators have actually made prey is so far unclear. Fortunately, there were no injuries, as the police said.

Fast search according to the suspects

The search for the perpetrators was initiated immediately after the explosion, but was unsuccessful until the morning. Video recordings have already been spotted, and witnesses have also reported to the authorities to provide information. This quick reaction is crucial to grab the criminals, which have obviously been active several times recently. Another ATM in the Tyrolean Ötztal was only blown up on Tuesday night, but there the perpetrators could not capture anything, such as styria.at reported.

The police remain optimistic that the viewed video recordings and the testimony of the witnesses will result in new traces. The incident caused a sensation, and the security forces do everything they can to clarify the background and those responsible to prevent further acts.
