On Wednesday evening, a gripping football game took place in 1. class B, which captivated the audience until the last minute. The SC Copten prevailed 3-2 against ESV Ottakring in an exciting duel. In the first half, the spectators did not see a single goal, but the second half increased the intensity considerably and offered pure football entertainment.
The encounter started relatively carefully when both teams explored each other. The SC Kopten players wore striking golden jerseys while the guests from Ottakring ran into blue. Just two minutes later, Jobe added and increased to 3: 1. The game seemed decidedly, but ESV Ottakring did not give up. In the last minute of the game, more precisely in the 92nd minute, Baumgartner scored the connection goal for his team with another free kick. But the final whistle came too early for the guests, and the SC Copten secured the important points.
Overall, the game was a real treat for the spectators, especially in the second half, which came up with many twists and gates. The SC Copten, under the direction of coach Martin Pölzhner, was strong and now occupied a better place in the table.
