Punch for a good cause: Support single parents in Vienna!

On November 26th, a special event will take place in Vienna's MuseumsQuartier that will not only delight the palate, but also serve a good cause. From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. everyone is invited to enjoy punch and support the Association of Feminist Single Parents, FEM.A. This initiative takes place as part of the “16 Days Against Violence,” which this year runs from November 25th to December 10th.

This action aims to raise awareness of the various forms of violence against women and to highlight that such violence is a serious violation of human rights. Every punch sold that evening helps support the work of FEM.A.

What does FEM.A stand for?

FEM.A is an independent, feminist non-profit organization that specializes in protecting women from violence. In particular, single parents who find themselves in emergencies can find support here. The net proceeds from the punch sale go directly to FEM.A's projects, which work to ensure that single mothers receive the help they need to lead a safe life.

In addition, the event will be accompanied musically by the “femchor”. This offers a performance in the main courtyard of the MuseumsQuartier under the motto “multi-voiced against the patriarchy”. It is an open event that does not require prior registration, so anyone can come and actively participate.

In the run-up to Christmas there are many ways to support the community and show solidarity. This campaign is not only an opportunity to refresh yourself, but also a step in the right direction to raise awareness of the challenges that many single women face. The number of single mothers seeking help has increased significantly recently and this event aims to help bring more attention to their situation.
