This Saturday will be a festive event in Rome, as the 16th Great Vienna Debutante Ball will take place in the elegant Acquario Romano. Here a group of 32 debutante couples will enter the dance floor to the gentle sounds of the Viennese waltz and present their dance skills. A special highlight of the evening: A selected couple will be honored as the best debutante couple and will have the honor of opening the next opera ball in 2025.
The so-called “Gran Ballo Viennese di Roma”, which has been an integral part of the cultural scene in the Italian capital since 2007, not only brings the tradition of the Viennese ball season to Italy, but also a strong charitable aspect. The proceeds from the event go to various humanitarian projects, making the ball not only a social event, but also a platform for social responsibility.
A feast for the senses
The ball is organized under the patronage of the City of Vienna and the Austrian Embassy in Italy and offers young people the opportunity to present themselves in a festive setting. In addition to the debutants, numerous prominent guests from various fields, including politics and culture, are invited to the magnificent halls of the Acquario Romano, known for its elegant social events.
