Seriously injured woman found in the staircase: police investigated
A serious incident occurred in a residential building in Vienna when a woman was severely injured in the staircase. A neighbor heard sound noises on her door and discovered the injured person, as police spokesman Markus Dittrich reported. Rescue workers were immediately alerted, which were used with several teams.
The injured received emergency medical care on site before being taken to a hospital. The circumstances that led to the injuries are still unclear and were not explained in more detail by the authorities.
Investigations and measures
As a result of the incident, a ban on entering and rising was issued against the alleged perpetrator, as was a temporary ban on weapons. The State Criminal Police Office in Vienna, South branch, has started the investigation. So far, neither the alleged perpetrator nor the victim have been asked, and the exact background of the incident still remain unclear.
The incident raises questions about security in the residential areas and support for people in violence. In Austria there are numerous offers for women who are affected by violence. Information can be found, for example, at the women's helpline at 0800-222-555 or the Autonomous Austrian women's shelters at www.aoef.at. The police also offer support, among other things via emergency call 133.
The community expects further information to clarify the exact course and the reasons for this tragic situation. These events can strongly influence not only those affected, but also the community and require increased attention to domestic violence.
