New club for all generations: All in Essling starts

The Donaustadt has a new starting point for all generations: The “Plus” pensioner club at Telephonweg 1 opened its doors on Tuesday, October 29th. With its modern and bright equipment, the club should not only address senior citizens, but also residents of all ages. District head Ernst Nevrivy (SPÖ) founded at the opening that the old club no longer fulfilled the needs and that it was therefore chosen for a new, larger space.

The motto "All in Essling" relies on diversity and community. The team leader of the retirement clubs in the 22nd district, Brigitta Hirschvogel-Piedl, pointed out that the concept includes invitations and events that are supposed to bring together people of different age groups. A highlight of the new club is the repair café, led by many committed young volunteers. Here the residents can not only exchange skills, but also get into conversation at a snack.

activities for every taste

The offer in the new club is diverse. In addition to the repair café, sporting activities such as Nordic Walking, Grätzl walks and dancing outdoors are also planned. Even jazz and line dance groups as well as gymnastics lessons are offered, which could well be particularly well received by visitors who are interested in fitness. These activities not only strengthen health, but also promote social exchange among the participants.

Another central point in the new club is cooking together. The focus is on creating favorite dishes and enjoying together, which also contributes to a friendly and inviting atmosphere. So it's not just about eating, but also about social interaction during the preparation. Members can chat about recipes and eating habits while they are active in the kitchen.

opening times and contact

The Club+ All in Essling is open from Monday to Friday, between 12 and 5 p.m. Interested parties can simply come by or contact 01/313 992 921 41 to get more information. The club's online presence is also regularly updated to make the latest information and events accessible to all citizens.

A future source of gathering and experience is thus secured: The “Plus” retirement club wants to offer both older people and younger members space to actively participate and establish social contacts. With an extensive program and an open attitude, the new concept in the Donaustadt is on a promising path to promote a lively community.
