Danger of explosion in Bregenz: Family evacuates after fire in the basement

A technical defect apparently caused the batteries to explode loudly, which subsequently ignited nearby flammable objects. This situation led to an enormous amount of smoke, which quickly filled the entire stairwell of the apartment building.

Consequences for the residents

Due to the heavy smoke, the building is temporarily considered uninhabitable. Fortunately, the affected family of four was able to organize accommodation themselves. Nevertheless, the incident was not without consequences, as she was given first aid by the emergency services and taken to the Bregenz State Hospital for clarification.

The fire brigade was on site quickly and was able to initiate effective extinguishing measures before the fire could spread further. The drama that unfolded in this residential building highlights the potential dangers of a technical defect and the importance of acting quickly in critical situations.
