Schwaz students discover the EU: excursion to Brussels

Recently, 55 students and seven teachers from BRG/BORG Schwaz went on an exciting excursion to Brussels, the heart of the European Union. The trip was undertaken to give the young people a deeper understanding of the EU institutions and their function in political events. This important event created excitement and curiosity among the participants.

The eight classes use the opportunity to get to know the different aspects of the European Community. During their stay in the Belgian capital, the students also had the opportunity to experience first-hand how the European Parliament works. Such experiences are irreplaceable, especially at a time when there is increased interest in European integration and cooperation.

A learning adventure on many levels

The students took part in guided tours where they not only visited the meeting room of the European Parliament, but were also able to ask their questions directly to members of parliament. This gave them an excellent chance to gain insights into the EU's political processes and to express their own opinions on social issues.

The students were also able to experience the atmosphere of Brussels, a city known for its international importance and cultural diversity. By exploring the city, the young people were not only able to expand their knowledge of the political structures, but also develop a feeling for the cultural differences within Europe.

The excursion represented both academic and personal enrichment for the participating students. The teachers accompanied the group to create the framework in which the young people could learn and discuss in a safer environment.

This trip to Brussels will certainly remain a formative experience for many students, which can influence their perspective on Europe and its challenges. It is important to promote such initiatives to raise awareness of the European community among the younger generation. Further information can be found in the article on www.meinbezirk.at.
