Motiva Photo Art Festival: Lienz photographers win big!
On October 7th, an impressive crossfade show took place in the Casineum Velden, which was part of the “Motiva Photo Art Festival”. The event showcased the best 2,000 photographs from over 75,000 entries, giving viewers a visually exhilarating glimpse into world photography. These included works by award-winning wildlife photographers, fascinating travel images, impressive landscape photographs and dynamic sports photographs. The festival is the successor to the renowned “Trieringer Super Circuit”, which ended last year. To accompany the show, a 624-page photo book was created in which the best shots are collected.
Lienz photo club and its successes
The Lienz Photo Club was also well represented at this event. Chairman Thomas Isep proudly highlighted the contributions of his members. Among them, Günter Bauernfeind presented his work “Fly Agaric”, while Michael Breschan presented his photographs “Waiting” and “Body”. Marlies Gliber presented her pictures “Alpenglow”, “Morning Mood” and “St. Johann”. Judith Mijderwijk shared impressions from the “Lienz Dolomites” as well as her photos of the “Alpine ibex” and the “St. Nicholas Church near Matrei in East Tyrol”. Sarah Klaunzer-Sporer showed her works “Winter Mood” and “SunSet”.
What was particularly remarkable was that the Lienz Photo Club was able to win the “Austrian Photo Club Championships” during the first “Motiva Photo.Art.Circuit”. The club was also awarded the “Hartlauer Fotoklub Trophy 2023” for its many years of charitable work and its commitment to the field of photographic art. The club also received the “Austrian Photoclub Championship 2023” award. Chairman Isep expressed his joy about the members' great achievements and said: "I'm so proud of it."
The success of the photography club and the presentation of these world-beating photographs increases anticipation for future events and strengthens the community of photographers in the region. For more details on this topic, those interested can the current reporting on www.kleinezeitung.at see.
