Lienz schools convince at the federal final in the terrain run
In the presence of their supervisors, three Lienz Schult teams recently gave their best at the federal final of the schools in Stubenberg am See, Eastern Styria. This important event took place from November 5th to 7th and attracted the national winners, including students from BG/BRG and Borg Lienz.
The suburban team of Borg Lienz, consisting of Jonas Gomille, Emanuel Gander, Jonas Moser, Matthias Obrist and Noah Patterer, competed on the demanding 3 -kilometer route and took 9th place. In the meantime, the students of the Sport-Borg Lienz made a remarkable performance and secured the 5th place. Carina Kollreider, Julia Heregger, Elena Webhofer, Laura Weingartner and Lorena Kollreider ran great and were in the top field. Her male peers, Samuel Lexer, Klemens Steiner, Matteo Walder, Christian Oppeniger and Andreas Gradnig, fought for the medal and reached the 4th place at a distance of 4 kilometers, but thus just past a medal.

The performance of the teams testifies to hard work and commitment. The boys of the Sport-Borg Lienz in particular showed a remarkable performance that could lead them to the medal. It was an exciting race and the team -oriented training was reflected in the results.
The participants were well prepared, which was reflected in their perseverance and speed. The coaching by Mag. Josef Mair and Mag. Ursula Gasser certainly contributed to the development of the athletes and strengthened the team spirit. Such intensive competitions not only offer the students the opportunity to prove themselves in sports, but also promote the community and cohesion with each other.
For the young athletes, it was a valuable experience to measure themselves at this level. The Lienz region appreciates the sporting efforts of its young talents, who take part in the competitions with a lot of passion and dedication.
