Liebherr opens a new logistics center: Innovation boost for Lienz!

Lienz, Österreich - On December 2, 2024, the new logistics center of Liebherr-Hausgeräte Lienz GmbH was ceremoniously inaugurated. After only 14 months of construction, a state-of-the-art warehouse was created on an area of 18,000 m², which offers space for up to 28,000 cooling and freezing devices, both for private and professional use. This investment is crucial because it replaces the previous three outer warehouse and thus significantly improves the efficiency in production and logistics. The groundbreaking took place in September 2023, and the inauguration underlines the commitment of Liebherr to optimize the processes at the Lienz location, such as Dolomitenstadt reported .

The new logistics center is the latest state of the art and supports flexibility in delivery to customers worldwide. Managing Director Marcel Snelder said: "With this central storage location, we can send our devices quickly, flexibly and directly from Lienz." Around the center, a “natural landscape” was created with 250 trees and 2,000 shrubs, which creates an appealing environment for the employees. The new facility enables the company to significantly optimize the logistics processes and to shorten the transport routes. The Halle, which is equipped with the latest technology, is operated by 37 employees who ensure that the devices are efficiently picked and loaded, which further strengthens Liebherr's competitiveness in the international market.
