Autumn concert in Lienz: A festive sound experience for all generations
The autumn concert of the city music Lienz in the city hall was an unforgettable event that conquered the hearts of the audience. The brass music band was not long asked and presented a program that combined both traditional and modern sounds. Especially at the end of the concert, the audience no longer paused and demanded several encores, which significantly underlined the anticipation for the festive marches that were celebrated for the first time in the final. One of the highlights of the evening was the wonderful waltz "Waltz No. 2" by Dmitri Shostakovich, which could only be heard at the end of the second part. The folk song "The most beautiful in the world is my Tyrolean country" formed the crowning glory of the musical evening.
The concert was not just a performance, but a musical journey of discovery under the direction of Kapellmeister Magdalena Pircher. She had put together a varied program that also emphasized young talents of the Lienz city music. A fanfare followed the evening followed by a romance by Philip Sparke. A particularly fascinating piece was "Ex Lost Elysion" by the South Tyrolean composer Herbert Pixner, who brought new sound colors into play with the Styrian Harmonika and a Handpan. This instrumental variety perfectly matched the motto of the concert, which revolved around the mythological island of the Blessed from Greek mythology.
an evening full of emotions and honors
The emotional performances were quickly noticeable, especially with Fritz Neuböck's composition "Born4horn", in which six hornists of city music impressively showed their skills. Another point of contact was the title melody of the Italian film "La Vita è Bella", which took the audience into the deepest human emotions.
The concert also highlighted the memories of the opening of the 1988 Olympics in Seoul. With "The Olympic Spirit" by John Williams, the audience experienced a musical homage to the competition spirit. With his "Astronaut March", composer Josef Ullrich brought dreams from space flying to life before the musical discovery tour in the city hall gradually came to an end. Under the charming moderation of Margit Ortner, the evening became a wonderful experience.
A special highlight of the evening was the honor of the members. Chairman Bernhard Tiefenbacher congratulated Karl Lamp and Gerhard Steinlechner on their impressive 50 years of membership in urban music. Reinhard Wilhelmer was also honored for his 55-year commitment. With a warm thank -you message, Kapellmeister Pircher turned to the audience: "Music is nothing if you are not allowed to play it out and share the joy of it." The audience also contributed to the special mood of the evening by giving the artists the appreciation that is essential in such a framework.
Overall, the autumn concert of the city music Lienz not only offered musical highlights, but also demonstrated the deep connections to tradition and community that are created by the common music. The diversity of the performances, coupled with honorable moments, left a lasting impression and proved how significant events for cultural life in our region are.
